According to the BBB, calls have been nonstop and the BBB has sent a ';cease and desist'; notice regarding trademark infringement to the company because of a fake BBB report the sites link to that falsely shows the company with an A+ rating.
The two Web sites list one physical address as 10701 W. Sixth Ave, but that address actually belongs to BBB Accredited business, Automotive Avenues, Inc. Another link goes to 3925 Monaco Parkway, which actually belongs to Cintas Document Management -- a paper shredding company.
The two Web sites, www.stars-automart.com and www.autoaven.com, claim to offer sales of repossessed vehicles.
The BBB said customers complain that once a majority payment is sent via MoneyGram to a Denver address, the company ceases communication. The company has not responded to the BBB.
An Internet check shows the two domain names are registered to a private registration company in Sunnyvale, Calif.
The BBB said it sent out the warning because on-delivery and Internet auction fraud were the top two complained-about fraud types at the Internet Crime Complaint Center.
';The BBB takes complaints very seriously and does not want any more consumers to be victimized,'; a news release stated.

I thought something was fishy when I saw the same exact Ford Flex on all three sites with the same stock numbers, pictures and VINs.

Is it time for the American people to amend the Constitution to say....?
After watching our legislators on the floor of the House, and Senate, I am appalled at the behavior. I have seen the Speaker have to stop the representatives talking to address the rude, obnoxious, and immature behavior of those who are in attendance. I felt as though I was watching a video with the head school teacher, and a room full of kindergarten children.
I propose that some changes be made to the duties of our representatives, such as:
1. All will be in attendance when bills come on the floor to be passed. If not all in attendance, the vote will be postponed till all are present.
2.Should any legislator have to be spoken to more than once to ';sit down';, or ';clear the aisles';, or ';take your conversation outside';, then they will be fined. If it happens more than 3 times during their time in office, they will be automatically FIRED!
3.When someone is speaking, there will be no interruptions, regardless of what the person speaking is saying. Having the time limits on speaking that our legislators do, this can be difficult.
4.If there is opposition, then a time frame must be allowed for those who oppose to speak, also without interruption, even if they have already spoken in regards to the bill.
5.All bills will be read in their entirety, to all in attendance, and not by a speed reader. (Maybe then, the people who have been adding 2-300 pages to the original bills at 3 am in the morning so no one has a chance to read them, would end.)
I feel, very strongly, that many of our legislators are mocking the people of our nation by not having enough respect for us to pay attention to what is being said, and by not allowing, and/or agreeing to as much debate is absolutely necessary to protect the people of our Nation.
How do you feel about the poor, immature, and almost criminal behavior many of our legislators have been exhibiting?
What else would you like to see done, that is/or is not being done now while they decide the laws which will affect each and every one of us in some form or another?

At first I thought that some of the ideas may not work but you know what, I think if we had these rules it would greatly slow down and simplify our out of control congress. If they all had to be there and read the bills I think we would start seeing 20 page bills instead of unnecessary 1000 page bills packed with hidden agendas. I also agree that our representatives are mocking us. We should vote all of them out. They are a disgrace to our great country.Is it time for the American people to amend the Constitution to say....?

My responses to your points:
1. Politicians are very busy people. It's impossible for them to attend every meeting, especially with the amount of bills that get proposed. Your idea would drag the country to a halt. Also, absentee congressmen are considered a vote in favor of the bill in question. You'd be surprised how rare a full congress is.
2. Firing a congressman is against the law. I'm almost positive that the clause is in the constitution itself. Totally agree with the first point though.
3 %26amp; 4. This will make meetings incredibly long. Combining this with point one would mean that congressmen would practically live in the house and senate.
5. Bills are made to be that long so everyone can agree with them. Also, both houses have to agree on the exact same bill. That means that if one house adds an extra comma, the bill has to go back to the other house and they then have to re-read and pass it again. One extra letter can stall a bill by more than a month.
I don't think you'd want them to argue about whether or not the speed limit on interstate highways should be raised by two mph for several hours. It would waste our tax dollars. Contrary to popular belief, most passed bills are pretty boring and are not a cause for much argument, which is why most congressmen don't show up.
This is the American Government. It was set up to be slow and stable. I'd personally like to see the United States switch over to a multiple plurality system, but that would require a new constitution and will not happen. It's actually very difficult to amend the constitution. Most bills to amend end up falling by the wayside. In our two hundred years, we've only passed twenty seven amendments, including the bill of rights, which really shouldn't count.
Though I understand your frustrations, your ideas aren't very realistic. They aren't because of the very nature of our government. It's ironic that to change the nature of our government to something better is inhibited due to the nature of our government.
Lets just say:
';If a legislator has not read a bill in it檚 entirety they are not entitle to vote yes on it.';
It is better that they do nothing then sign a bank check.
and:
';the 14th, 16th, and 17th amendment are hereby repealed.';
Thus restoring federalism and the check on federal power and the Constitution as a whole. There must be a competing power interest to check the general power interest of the federal government from excesses at inevitably their expenses.

WASHINGTON (BP)--Using some of his strongest language to date in siding with the homosexual community, President Obama told a gathering of the Human Rights Campaign Saturday that his commitment to their cause was ';unwavering'; and that his administration, before he leaves office, would end the military's Don't Ask, Don't Tell policy.
';I'm here with a simple message: I'm here with you in that fight'; for homosexual causes, Obama, the keynote speaker, told those gathered at an event held by the nation's largest homosexual activist organization. ';For even as we face extraordinary challenges as a nation, we cannot -- and we will not -- put aside issues of basic equality.';
Unlike a speech delivered to homosexual leaders in June, Obama in his Oct. 10 address put no qualifiers on his pledge to end Don't Ask, Don't Tell. He did, though, repeat language in that June speech criticizing what he called ';outworn arguments and old attitudes'; about homosexuality -- language that was viewed by evangelicals then and now as condemning orthodox interpretations of Scripture.

Discrimination against LGBT people will end when LGBT are looked up to and admired in all the ways non-LGBT people are.
Think about it. What perpetuates bigotry and discrimination? It all boils down to what we are taught growing up - whether directly, indirectly, inferred, assumed, whatever. If a person isn't TAUGHT to like or dislike something, he or she will come to their own conclusions, usually through experimentation, just like a dog learns through experimentation not to antagonize a cornered cat.
Are average LGBT people inherently inferior or superior to non-LGBT people? Of course not. There is no logical reason to admire a straight athlete over a gay one, or vice-versa. Before puberty, when a ten year old child idolizes an athlete, or an actor, or an inventor, or whatever, and wants to emulate that person, the farthest thing from their mind is what their idols sexual orientation is. They are awed by the person's accomplishments, or abilities, or reputation. It's ADULTS who tell the child that their idol is good or bad.
After puberty, when a child understands the concept of sexual orientation, they now have all sorts of pressures. Pressures to conform, to fit in, to not disappoint their parents, and so on. If a child grows up in a homophobic environment, chances are that if the person they once idolized is homosexual, that idol is going to be discarded in favor of a more ';acceptable'; role model. But if the child grows up in an accepting environment, then their role model will remain, and the cycles is essential broken.
This is what is starting to finally happen in America. As more and more parents are ';okay'; with same sex relationships, more and more children will be ';okay'; with them, and within a few generations, the bigotry and discrimination goes away because it's absurd at that point.
So what we need is for homosexual people to not stay closeted, but also not make a big deal about their homosexuality. Just act like any other average person, and be recognized and admired for their accomplishments, their talent and their expertise. That is how you cast off the stigma of homosexuality, or any other stigma for that matter. You refuse to accept its validity until those who promote it look ridiculous because you are obviously superior to them.
As children, we all hear the phrase, ';you can be anything you want to be when you grow up... even president of the United States'; and you can imagine that somewhere there are racist white parents who taught their kids that a black person could never be president. Well don't 'ol Mom and Dad look stupid now in the eyes of their kids. Their prejudice is just asinine. How can they take themselves seriously anymore? People with attitudes like this are causing their own extinction BECAUSE they have these attitudes. Their time in society is over, and GOOD RIDDANCE.
Every time a homosexual person ';kicks azz'; at whatever it is they do, they are leaving the neanderthals and their stupid bigotry in the dust. Survivor's Benefits + Marriage?
This will be a long one... Not sure though under what category I should of posted this question.
I lived with my American father since late 2005 in Las Vegas, my parents divorced sometime in 2000. My father remarried to a friends Hungarian ex-wife so that she can get a green card in January of 2008. They never lived together, I continued to live with my Dad from January of 2008 till June of 2008. No one told me about the marriage. Not my Dad or my half-brother or anyone else for that matter, I was left in the dark.
I learned much later that my Dad was angry at her because they agreed that if they married, she would pay him a monthly sum of money, she stopped paying though. From July and onwards I lived with my grandparents, I heard the news that my Dad had died in a car accident in early December 2008. When I figured out who was married to my Dad, I remember seeing her in Las Vegas when I was with my father. We visited them (the woman and her ex-husband and two of her children) several times throughout 2007 and 2008.
I'm 18 years old and at this time I'm still in high school receiving survivors benefits, currently living with my half-brother in California. I'm guessing (because the social security office won't tell me a thing) that the other two children of the woman are getting the benefits too. I could be getting much more of the benefits if my Dad wouldn't have married her.
My mother received my mail from the social security office, checks and anything else from the ss office (although I've called once before several months ago to change my mailing address). I drove to mothers apartment last night to pick up the letters and I received one that said:
'';Effective 05/2009 additional auxiliaries were entitled to benefit's on (name)'s record... When we have a limit on how much we can pay on each person's Social Security record.
If You Disagree With The Decision
Please tell us within 10 days of the date of this letter (March 3rd) if you disagree with the decision. You will also need to give us any proof that your benefits should not be reduced. If you let us know within 10 days that you disagree with the decision, we will not reduce your checks. We will continue to pay you while we review the case to see if you are right. If we do not hear from you within 10 days, we will reduce your checks. We will send you another letter at that time with more information about our action.';
I'm going early morning on Monday to the social security office in Santa Clarita, by then of course it would be too late, but I'm still going to fight for my money since they failed to change my mailing address. I need proof though that they shouldn't make a reduction in my benefits. The only things I have at this time is:
A phone number of a friend of my Dad's who knew about the wedding and the green card issue,and an address where the woman lives in Las Vegas with the same ex-husband and two kids (my mother hired a private investigator).
I have absolutely no idea whats going to happen now, but I'm thinking I won't be able to stop this reduction from occurring. I don't think its illegal to marry for a green card but it would be nice to have the women deported back to her country of origin so that I can receive all of the money which is rightfully mine. Is there anyway of doing this?

You would have to show that the marriage was illegal, contact ICE the Immigration authority and find out, it is doubtful that they would pursue the matter but it would be worth a try but if they say there is nothing they can do you should discuss it with Social Security at 1-800-772-1213 and they can help you, if you appeal and lose they will debit your benefits to compensate for the lower amount.~~

From July and onwards I lived with my grandparents, I heard the news that my Dad had died in a car accident in early December 2008. When I figured out who was married to my Dad, I remember seeing her in Las Vegas when I was with my father. We visited them (the woman and her ex-husband and two of her children) several times throughout 2007 and 2008.
I'm 18 years old and at this time I'm still in high school receiving survivors benefits, currently living with my half-brother in California. I'm guessing (because the social security office won't tell me a thing) that the other two children of the woman are getting the benefits too. I could be getting much more of the benefits if my Dad wouldn't have married her.
My mother received my mail from the social security office, checks and anything else from the ss office (although I've called once before several months ago to change my mailing address). I drove to mothers apartment last night to pick up the letters and I received one that said:
'';Effective 05/2009 additional auxiliaries were entitled to benefit's on (name)'s record... When we have a limit on how much we can pay on each person's Social Security record.
If You Disagree With The Decision
Please tell us within 10 days of the date of this letter (March 3rd) if you disagree with the decision. You will also need to give us any proof that your benefits should not be reduced. If you let us know within 10 days that you disagree with the decision, we will not reduce your checks. We will continue to pay you while we review the case to see if you are right. However, if you are wrong we will ask you to pay back any money you received that was not due.
If we do not hear from you within 10 days, we will reduce your checks. We will send you another letter at that time with more information about our action.';
I'm going early morning on Monday to the social security office in Santa Clarita, by then of course it would be too late, but I'm still going to fight for my money since they failed to change my mailing address. I need proof though that they shouldn't make a reduction in my benefits. The only things I have at this time is:
A phone number of a friend of my Dad's who knew about the wedding and the green card issue,and an address where the woman lives in Las Vegas with the same ex-husband and two kids (my mother hired a private investigator).
I have absolutely no idea whats going to happen now, but I'm thinking I won't be able to stop this reduction from occurring. I don't think its illegal to marry for a green card but it would be nice to have the women deported back to her country of origin so that I can receive all of the money which is rightfully mine. Is there anyway of doing this?
If not is there anything I can do so that the social security office will stop reducing the amount of money I'm receiving monthly?Survivor's Benefits + Marriage?
You would have to show that the marriage was illegal, contact ICE the Immigration authority and find out, it is doubtful that they would pursue the matter but it would be worth a try but if they say there is nothing they can do you should discuss it with Social Security at 1-800-772-1213 and they can help you, if you appeal and lose they will debit your benefits to compensate for the lower amount.~~

Given the email, I'd hazard that they'd send a fake/stolen check, tell you to deposit it, then with 1-2 days will say the amount was wrong, could you immediately send them a refund via Western Union. They'll tell you that you can keep $250 for the trouble.
The scam is the fact that only your money is real and when the fake check bounces, your bank will expect you to refund them the entire amount.Does this job seem legit, or should I forget about it?
Forget about it. Figure out the cost of mailing the catalogs. which would probably be more than the cost of mailing a letter and which you will have to pay for yourself.Even if they did pay you $250, how much would you make? And there is absolutely no need for them to view your e-mails.
I would be cautious with this. It does sound sketchy to me. I've heard of other folks trying at-home mailing/assembly things, and if you get one little thing wrong, or late, they won't pay you at all, so you end up stuck with the bill! Good luck!

Upon a cursory review of a google.com query for ';dfs.co.uk'; scam which brought up some 694 search results, there appears to be little data which contains specific reference to the word ';scam.'; However, we find it somewhat suspicious that DFS needs to monitor your email traffic since your job does not require use of your email address by merely placing postage on their catalogs which are mailed out. Having access to your email account also will reveal to DFS your addressbook from which they can readily send out spam. And you mean that there is no one else at the DFS premises that cannot perform the same task for much less pay?
I'd pass on this opportunity, unless DFS is willing to send you a list of current satisfied catalog mailers who can provide positive testimonials on why this is a worthwhile enterprise.

The Company seems to be a genuine company, Whether or not your e-mail actually comes from them is something I have no knowledge of. Perhaps if you are interested you could take a phone number from one of the Google links and telephone them to ask. I know it is expensive but I can't think of any other way of confirming if your e-mail is from them or a person using their logo and advertising bumph.
